10 Schools that do not Require the GRE – Computer Science
By Scholarship for USA on Aug 17, 2009 with Comments 1
Computer Science is a very popular subject for graduate international students. Most graduate schools require students to take the GRE before they are admitted into the Computer Science program. There are, however, a handful of schools that waive the GRE requirement for admission. This does not necessarily mean that these schools are of a lower quality, or that they do poorly in the rankings; its just that the GRE score does not factor in their admission criteria.
Here is a list of ten schools where GRE scores aren’t a big criteria for admission; although many of them strongly recommend that applicant submit GRE scores.
- University of Texas
- South Dakota State University
- Carnegie Mellon University: The Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT)
- Oklahoma State University
- Saint Mary’s University : Master in Information Technology Management
- ST. Thomas University
- University of Wisconsin-La Crosse: Master of Software Engineering (MSE)
- Penn State University – Harrisburg
- New Mexico State University
- Rensselaer Polytechnic University
