Drexel University is a private, nonsectarian coeducational university, founded in 1891 by financier and philanthropist Anthony J. Drexel. Drexel’s 60-acre University City Main Campus is located in the University City district of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, about a 10-minute walk from Center City, Philadelphia’s downtown neighborhood. Located in one of America’s most historic and diverse cities, Drexel gives international students a vibrant introduction to American culture while honoring the contributions of all cultures.International students at Drexel are eligible for merit-based awards, which include scholarships, assistantships, and fellowships. Drexel University awards a limited number of Dean’s Scholarships to undergraduate students who have excellent academic credentials and the potential for high academic achievement at Drexel. These scholarships are only offered upon admission to Drexel; they are not offered after the student begins studying at Drexel. A special application is not needed to apply for this scholarship, you will be notified by the director of admissions if you have been awarded a scholarship. Students must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA to keep the scholarship.
Providing undergraduate students with up to 18 months of professional experience before graduation, Drexel Co-op is one of the most extensive and well-respected co-op programs in the nation. Students work for more than 1,500 companies in 41 states and 17 foreign countries. An average paid six-month co-op salary is $14,005.
